MOTORRADonline Reports on AllGoTec's 500V Technology

In the January issue of Motorradonline.de, an online magazine by Motor Presse Stuttgart GmbH & Co.KG, there is an extensive article about AllGoTec and our innovative "500-Volt Electric Power".

Editor Maik Schwarz highlights our universal premium electric drive and the significant advantages of the 500V technology, especially in terms of installation space, weight, performance, efficiency, and range. Our high-voltage battery pack, designed for quick changes, weighs only 33 kilograms and features a patented, tool-free quick-change system that allows a change in less than a minute.

As a specialized start-up for electric drives, founded by Rally Dakar veteran Richard Schalber in Allgäu, we at AllGoTec are looking for investors and strategic partners for our modular electric drive system with patented quick-change battery.

DMF Capital invests in e-mobility start-up AllGoTec

Technology leader in electric drives for motorcycles, motor scooters and microcars

Frankfurt/Kempten (Allgäu), Oct. 12, 2023

DMF Capital GmbH, a Frankfurt-based investment company focusing on businesses with exceptional growth opportunities, has acquired a 16.7% stake in AllGoTec GmbH of Wertach in the Allgäu region as part of a capital increase.

AllGoTec GmbH was founded in 2021 by a team led by Richard Schalber, the former development and operations manager of the BMW motorcycles Paris–Dakar team, which won the Paris–Dakar Rally twice under his leadership. Richard Schalber is himself a multiple title winner in enduro racing.

Under his leadership, AllGoTec has specialized in the development of electric drive systems in the 10–35 kW power range, i.e., for motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters and microcars. AllGoTec thus fills the empty niche for high-performance electric motors for vehicles more powerful than bicycles and less powerful than passenger cars, for which there is a very high demand. In the medium and long term, a large proportion of the more than 50 million motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters and microcars produced worldwide each year will be converted to electric mobility. This will lead to sustainable market growth of more than 25% per year in AllGoTec’s field of activity.

AllGoTec boasts the only high-voltage drive system that combines electric motor, battery and controller. The modular system, which features a replaceable battery, can be easily installed in models from a wide range of motorcycle and microcar manufacturers. It has been extensively tested on a motorcycle developed by AllGoTec itself. The AllGoTec drive system makes it possible to build vehicles faster and at lower cost. Compared to the low-voltage solutions commonly used in the past, the AllGoTec drive system requires significantly less raw material, weight less and offers a much longer range.

In addition to the patented battery-replacement system, AllGoTec also holds a patent for planetary gears in electric motors. This patent gives axle manufacturers complete design freedom, resulting in a significant increase in efficiency and considerable space savings for electric cars and electric motorcycles.

Richard Schalber’s team has extensive experience from previous development projects for renowned companies such as BMW, Porsche, Bentley, Suzuki and Continental.

“We were convinced by the fact that, technologically, AllGoTec has occupied the neglected subsegment between the e-bike and electric car sectors in the extremely fast-growing e-mobility market and has achieved technological market leadership there. In addition, we are impressed by the high demand for AllGoTec’s electric drive systems – and also for AllGoTec’s electric motorcycles following trade fair appearances. This is despite the fact that AllGoTec has not yet established its own production facilities,” said the two managing directors of DMF Capital GmbH, Michael Dirkes and Dr. Patrick Schmidl.

Together with the AllGoTec founders and a suitable strategic partner, DMF Capital will create the structural prerequisites to meet the high demand for AllGoTec’s products.

“We are very pleased to have found DMF Capital, a shareholder with experience in the mobility industry, to support us in enabling manufacturers of electric motorcycles, mopeds, scooters and microcars to offer their customers more affordable, sustainably produced electric vehicles with a longer range than before. In this way, we can make a significant contribution to sustainable mobility,” says Richard Schalber, managing partner of AllGoTec.

World premiere at EICMA 2022

The largest international vehicle trade fair took place in Milan from 8 - 13 November 2022.

Through a support programme for start-ups of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, AllGoTec was granted a subsidy which enabled AllGoTec to participate in the trade fair as an exhibitor for the first time.

AllGoTec presented the world novelty "modular high-voltage drive system" for vehicles in the power class up to 35 KW / 47.6 PS.

On the 43 sqm stand, the wide application of the drive system in different vehicles was demonstrated.

The patented quick-change battery system, which can be used in a wide range of vehicles, also attracted great interest from vehicle manufacturers and the public. Participation in the EICMA trade fair was a complete success for AllGoTec, according to managing director Richard Schalber. All the efforts in the run-up to the fair have paid off. We have received numerous enquiries from vehicle manufacturers who want to integrate the high-volt drive system into their vehicle range.

Electromobility in style

AllGoTec's high-voltage drive technology finds its application in historic vehicles.
The design of historic automobiles uniquely combined with modern electric traction (High-Voltage-Drive-System from AllGoTec). A homage to the future, inspired by the history of electric automobiles and designed according to historical tradition. AAA Manufaktur also manufactures historic electric vehicles according to customer specifications.

E-Cup motorcycle for juniors

A first study is available. It was developed and built by Team RST-Tec GmbH.

The power for the Junior Cup motorcycle is once again provided by the high-voltage drive system from AllGoTec.

With this vehicle concept we want to address the profound challenges in motorsports and show a perspective for the future. In cooperation with national and international partners, we are working on the regulations for this new e-motor sports series. AllGoTec will support this idea as a drive supplier.

SMTconnect 2022

After a forced break of two years, the SMTconnect trade fair took place in Nuremberg from 10 to 12 May 2022.

For the first time, the start-up AllGoTec from Wertach was represented as an exhibitor with its newly developed drive system. There were very positive reactions, indeed we were the crowd puller with our exhibits, said Sebastian Riedmiller, development manager at AllGoTec. In the power class up to max. 35 KW / 47.6 PS we have a unique selling point with our high-voltage drive system.

It was more than just a trade show appearance of AllGoTec, in addition to diverse insights into industries, trends and challenges for the future, we were also able to win new partners. We will certainly be represented at the next SMTconnect.

Many thanks to all visitors and fair officials!

We congratulate Sebastian Riedmiller

Sebastian Riedmiller, the smart development manager at AllGoTec in Wertach, also takes on big challenges in his free time.  This time, however, the passionate mountain biker was on foot. "Mega march" - 100 kilometers non-stop from Munich to Mittenwald, it had to be.

Basti, as everyone calls him, covered this distance in exactly 22 hours. Happy at the finish, but with several blisters on his feet, the taciturn Sebastian only said: "so dös het ma au gschafft!" in German: "Now I've done that too"!

Basti, all of us in Team AllGoTec are proud of your performance.

System change !

The combustion engine of the Mondial HPS 300 year of construction 2010, was replaced by the powerful high-voltage drive system from Allgotec.
